This is Our God

When life gets hard I believe worship is one of the best things we can do.When I go through some long tough days or when I am discouraged,  I run to God in worship and it has always lifted me up. Let go and stop worrying about things you have no control over. Worship the one who is worthy, He has your future in his hand and he will never leave you or forsake you. Don't put limits on yourself. God's plan is greater than our small minds can think up.

For some reason, I know many people that think my relationship with Jesus is perfect. I am far from that. I have not always been on the right path, and have strayed far from it. It's only by his grace I am where I am today. I am a work in progress, maturing daily into God's masterpiece. Christianity is about the daily walk with Christ.

We serve an amazing God!

Here is one of my new favorite worship songs of all time: This is Our God- Hillsong

Your grace is enough, more than I need
At Your word I will believe
I wait for You, draw near again
Let Your Spirit make me new
And I will fall at Your feet
I will fall at Your feet
And I will worship You here
Your presence in me, Jesus light the way
By the power of Your word
I am restored, I am redeemed
By Your Spirit I am free
And I will fall at Your feet
I will fall at Your feet
And I will worship You here, oh Lord
Freely You gave it all for us
Surrendered Your life upon that cross
Great is the love poured out for all
This is our God
Lifted on high from death to life
Forever our God is glorified
Servant and King rescued the world
This is our God
And I will fall at Your feet
We sing I will fall at Your feet
And I will worship You here
And I will fall at Your feet
I will fall at Your feet
And I will worship You here
Freely You gave it all for us
Surrendered Your life upon that cross
Great is the love poured out for all
This is our God
Lifted on high from death to life
Forever our God is glorified
Servant and King rescued the world
This is our God

Do not Worry

 Matthew 6:25-33
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I love how straight forward Jesus is. His message is simple and to the point. No need to overthink things or know a ton about theology. Jesus says to put your trust in Him and not worry about the things that are out of your control. Give it to Him. God is your Father, and he knows who you are, what you need, what you are going through and your future. You are his child. Worrying does not make things better. It actually robs us of our time, tears, and gives us pointless anxiety and stress. When we worry, we are believing that the enemy has control over our lives. Reality is God is in control and He is Almighty God. Let go of the situantions where you no control over. Trust God and seek his will for your life.

We should not however, live life carelessly, doing whatever we please. In situations where we do have some control, we should ask God for wisdom to make the right decisions.

Learning to live, and going through college, I struggle with this tremendously at times. However I trust and know Jesus is my Lord and Savoir. I have nothing to worry about because He has paid my penalty at the cross.
